About The Position

As a Transporter Patient PRN with Centerpoint Medical Center, you will assist with the movement of patients, equipment, and supplies in and around the hospital. This patient-care support role involves important contact with patients, visitors, and clinical staff every day. Your commitment to service, safety, and professionalism will contribute to a positive patient experience. You will safely lift patients on and off beds and transport them to and from special service and treatment areas using wheelchairs or moveable beds. Additionally, you will comfort patients and their families by offering support and encouragement, deliver equipment and supplies to assigned treatment areas, and pick up and deliver laboratory specimens.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Saving (BLS) Required with 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift patients on and off beds and transport them to and from special service and treatment areas using wheelchairs or moveable beds.
• Comfort patients and their families by offering support and encouragement.
• Deliver equipment and supplies to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
• Pick up and deliver laboratory specimens.
