About The Position

Works under general supervision in transporting patients from the nursing unit to the Imaging Department for necessary examinations. Lifts or transfers patients to carts or wheelchairs (may assist Radiologic Tech in transferring or lifting patients onto exam tables). Attends to the needs of the patient while in the Imaging Department. Assists in the file room and darkroom as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and record data well enough to follow instructions.
• Knowledge of basic department procedures which is normally acquired through completion of an elementary (8 grades) education.
• Two weeks on-the-job training is required prior to assuming full responsibilities.
