About The Position

Under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Transport, the Transporter is responsible for the completion of assignments, as received from Transport Tracking System or Dispatcher, for transport of patients and equipment within established departmental time frames and productivity standards, and following departmental operational and safety policies and procedures. Demonstrates positive customer relations, infection control and risk management practices. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS Certification
• Florida EMT-B certification and completion of additional training for electrocardiogram monitoring and interpretation
• Completion of EKG certification with additional training in patient transport
• Florida paramedic certification
