About The Position
The Transportation Vehicle Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on all district vehicles and equipment, which includes over 136 buses and 100 White Fleet and small equipment. The technician will handle work orders, conduct CDE (Colorado Department of Education) annual inspections, manage state emissions, and perform preventive maintenance inspections. Additionally, the role involves monitoring hazardous materials, providing input for CDE audit information, and utilizing the transportation Fleet vision computer program for data entry and retrieval. The technician will also collaborate with community entities such as fire and police departments.
