About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traffic Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida , or be eligible to obtain one within six months. This role requires hands-on experience with transportation and traffic engineering projects across the state, including work with FDOT and local municipalities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Florida PE license , or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 3+ years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving history.
• Proficiency in: Synchro/SimTraffic

Nice To Haves

• HCS (preferred)
• MicroStation or AutoCAD (preferred)
• Experience with:
• FDOT driveway connection permitting
• Traffic Impact Statements for local municipalities
• Traffic signal design

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage FDOT Driveway Connection Permit applications, including technical documentation and coordination with FDOT reviewers.
• Develop Traffic Impact Statements (TIS) for cities and counties throughout Florida.
• Conduct operational analyses and traffic modeling using Synchro/SimTraffic , including scenario development and LOS evaluation.
• Perform traffic signal design , including plans, timing sheets, and coordination plans in alignment with FDOT and local agency standards.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and permitting agencies.
• Support multidisciplinary teams on transportation engineering projects.
