About The Position
The mechanics assistant position will assist the transportation mechanics in the daily workload of transportation shop department. This position will enable the department and mechanics to stagger work shifts and provide daily help and for an extended workday. To repair and maintain all district vehicles and equipment, work orders, to assist in annual inspections, emissions. Preventive maintenance, inventory, and vendor supply orders. Monitor hazardous material. Assist Dispatcher/ Secretaries with information regarding availability of bus use and invoice payments. Work with community entities such as public service, etc.
