About The Position

As a Transportation Supervisor at Bozzuto's, Inc., you will lead and support a team of CDL-A associates, ensuring effective communication of job expectations and providing necessary training. This role encompasses responsibilities for safety, quality, customer service, scheduling, payroll, compliance, and overall transportation operations within the department.

Requirements

• At least one year of transportation-related experience.
• Supervisory experience managing mid to large team sizes (15+ hourly associates).
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations (Federal and State).
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems such as Dayforce/Ceridian.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with voice recognition technology (VoCollect).
• Strong project management skills with a focus on KPIs and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and drives the day-to-day performance of the team through leadership and interaction with all associates.
• Drives for continual improvement in all safety-related responsibilities through transportation operations.
• Analyzes transportation operations with the Transportation Manager to determine best dispatch practices for service objectives at the lowest costs.
• Ensures company policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all dispatch staff.
• Establishes work schedules for dispatch staff to ensure adequate coverage for business demands.
• Maintains driver vacation schedules and determines staffing requirements for personal time off requests.
• Ensures equipment is assigned according to company policies to maximize utilization.
• Communicates fully with superiors, subordinates, and customers to improve transportation functions.
• Works flexibly across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborates with suppliers, 3PL operations, and internal customers for optimal business solutions.
• Uses metrics to analyze performance results and provides regular updates to senior leadership.
