About The Position

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the valet and transportation departments. The Supervisor schedules any transport needed for Trezevant residents and ensures all safety regulations and company policies are followed. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and must maintain accurate records of all vehicle’s logs, receipts and purchases regarding transportation related equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must hold current state driver’s license (CDL) with no encumbrances.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills; Possess ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • Must be computer efficient and able to work effectively with Life-Loop software.
  • Must have CPR certification or be willing to get certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise drivers and valet.
  • Maintain all transportation logs.
  • Coordinates and schedules all transportation requests for Independent Living, Assisted Living and Health Center residents.
  • Works with activity coordinators, social workers, clinics and other personnel to arrange transportation for activities and health-related appointments.
  • Maintain ethical/legal standards: Demonstrate diplomacy in communicating.
  • Act as a backup driver when necessary.
  • When drivers are on runs, take labs to appropriate clinic.
  • Maintain all the first aid kits for each bus to stay in compliance with Social Services and Department of Health regulations.
  • Maintain all inspections, maintenance records and invoices for Resident Services and Marketing vehicles.
  • Schedules all routine maintenance per vehicle service guidelines.
  • Maintain CDL, CPR and any other driver’s license record for each driver.
  • Review daily logs for all drivers. Discuss any items of concern with the Life Enrichment Director.
  • Assess non-ambulatory needs when determining adequate mode of transportation.
  • Maintain records of competencies, in-services, and education attendance per regulatory requirements.
  • Must be computer competent and able to work with different types of office equipment.
  • Consistently presents a professional appearance by wearing clean uniform, shoes, name tag, no excessive perfumes or colognes.
  • Report for work on time, as scheduled.
  • Maintain updated state driver’s license with appropriate endorsement for the position with minimum points against driving record; Maintain a current CPR certification.
