The Transportation Supervisor supervises daily transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed according to our standards and guidelines. You will work from Monday - Friday. Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/yr Imperial Dade is the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, we serve customers in many business-to-business market segments including restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and cruise lines. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience in transportation, preferably with a related industry
  • Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment and traffic management.
  • A good working knowledge of government regulations about transportation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is strongly preferred
  • Class B driver's license is preferred
  • A working knowledge of Smartdrive and Roadnet is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage a cohesive, collaborative team, including supervisors, dispatchers, clerks, routers, and drivers
  • Maximize the use of our transportation options: box trucks, tractors, and trailers
  • Manage relationships with vendors
  • Ensure all drivers comply with company, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Ensure mandatory reporting (Hut, IFTA) is done on time and accurately
  • Develop KPIs for transportation staff's performance
  • Develop continuous improvement plans for key metrics
