The Role at a Glance: We’re currently seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our Kent-based transportation department. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help coordinate driver schedules, maintain operational efficiency, reinforce a strong safety culture, and support overall performance. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 3 years of transportation or logistics experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Class A CDL preferred
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and build trust with a diverse team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team-first mindset with the ability to balance daily operations with long-term strategy
  • Comfort with data analysis, performance metrics, and reporting to drive process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ability to quickly learn logistics and routing software

Responsibilities

  • Support the Transportation Manager in all areas of daily operations including driver, route, and asset management
  • Schedule drivers and manage on-call staffing to meet business needs
  • Recommend staffing changes or adjustments based on workload demands
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding new drivers and team members
  • Promote and model PCF values through day-to-day leadership
  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability across the department
  • Prepare and maintain key reporting on department performance, including on-time delivery, MPG, productivity, and safety
  • Support department and company KPIs by using data to drive decisions and improvements
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, safety trainings, and performance reviews
