About The Position

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for managing the transportation program for the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) participants. This position familiarizes PACE participants with the services that the transportation program provides, delivers excellent customer service, and gives participants an opportunity to voice their opinions about the services they receive. They plan and oversee schedules to best serve client needs in an efficient manner, and keep accurate records of contracts, vehicle maintenance, and repairs. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of the program's vehicles, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for our clients. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED - Required
  • 1 Year Working with Frail/Elderly Experience - Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)-American Heart Association- Within 90 Days of Hire- Required
  • Driver's License - Required

Responsibilities

  • Develops, reviews, and ensures compliance with all vehicle maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Manages contracts for repair services and vehicle maintenance, and ensures the documentation of repairs and maintenance is recorded.
  • Ensures the effective operation of all PACE vehicles and coordinates with contracted transportation services to ensure timely arrivals and departures from the PACE Center.
  • Ensures participants are familiar with the services of the transportation program and have opportunities to express their opinions about the care and services they receive.
  • Supervises the work of others and manages the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.
  • Participates in people management activities for direct team members such as conducting performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews.
  • Maintains accreditation and regulatory standards in the area of responsibility.
  • Provides training to staff to ensure staff competency annually, or provides new training as required.
