We are looking for a hospitality-focused Transportation Supervisor to join our award-winning community! This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Transportation department.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum one (1) year experience as a bus/van driver required.
Must have good interpersonal skills and comfortability working with elderly individuals who may need special attention.
Must have a good driving record and valid driver's license. Upon hire, a Motor Vehicle Record check will be conducted and annually thereafter.
Great leadership skills required, including the ability to develop and lead a team, work individually, and support and communicate manager directives to staff.

Responsibilities

Assists in staff recruitment, training, and supervision of Transportation Drivers.
Schedules transportation requests for residents.
Oversees the maintenance and care of the community fleet.
Works in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or specific instructions from the Director of Life Enrichment.
Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
Drive van, bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs.
Assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.).
Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van.
Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
Clean and wash vehicle.
May perform housekeeping functions as directed.
