The position of Transportation Supervisor is crucial in planning and scheduling all rail car movement and maintenance activities at the Lexington, NC facility, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • 8 years' experience planning and scheduling for complex assembly lines for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assemblies.
  • 5 years' experience managing a team in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage organization unit(s) assigned and lead/coordinate dedicated Professionals and Staff.
  • Ensure optimum machine utilization and scheduling for all rail car/component movement around the facility for on-time delivery.
  • Contribute to planning, scheduling, and supervision of all maintenance and contractor work orders.
  • Implement defined superior policies and guidelines, and define and ensure implementation of function-specific processes, procedures, methods, and/or tools.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant internal and local EHS-standards at all times.
  • Ensure availability of working instructions, rules, and guidelines for equipment utilized for transportation.
  • Evaluate and contribute to the implementation of maintenance programs.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality.
