Requirements

2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations
Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, MOBI and Prospero experience are a plus
Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Possess transportation experience including loading of trailers and store delivery procedures.
Experience driving diesel-powered tractors and a current CDL helpful.

Responsibilities

Communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment.
Implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers’ dispatchers and software vendors.
Managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs
Monitoring employees daily work assignments and spearheading safety initiatives for the department.
