About The Position
The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) invites its experienced agency employees to apply for the Transportation Supervising Engineer (Construction Engineering) position in the Material Evaluation and Specification Unit (MESU) located at the Materials Testing Laboratory in Rocky Hill, CT. The Transportation Supervising Engineer (Construction Engineering) is accountable for assisting the Principal Engineer and supervising staff engaged in material evaluation, inspection, and testing in the concrete, physical testing, and aggregates section of the MESU. This role includes overseeing operations in the aggregates and physical testing laboratories, inspecting ready mix and precast concrete production facilities, and supporting construction project staff in administering the Department's Materials Quality Assurance Program for concrete and aggregates.
