The Distribution Specialist must be proficient in 2 of the following roles: Warehouse Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Transportation Specialist.

  • Receive trucks and unload merchandise
  • Process incoming freight
  • Record amounts of materials or items received
  • Inspect freight to make sure it isn’t damaged and that it matches the bill of lading
  • Counts all incoming items and compares to packing list
  • Follow ups to have missing stock resent
  • Compares shipments to work orders to ensure timely receipt of items and to keep a log when items are received
  • Files packing lists that arrive with shipments for use in bill payment
  • Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
  • Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
  • Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes
  • Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
  • High School/GED or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience operating various forklifts preferred
  • Must be able to obtain forklift and stockpicker certifications
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to squat, kneel, bend and lift up to 75 pounds
