About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled embedded software engineer with a strong background in software development and a passion for working with cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of embedded systems and experience in coding with languages such as Assembler, C, and C++. This position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industry. The role will involve working on complex software projects that require knowledge of multi-threading and performance optimization across multiple cores. Additionally, familiarity with safety-approved operating systems and experience in software verification and validation activities will be beneficial. Candidates should also possess a working knowledge of mathematics related to 3D geometry, matrix calculations, and vector algebra, particularly in the context of LIDAR point clouds. Travel to Boston and New York areas will be required as needed by the company.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering with 10+ years experience preferred.
• 10+ years experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in coding with Assembler, C, and/or C++.
• Knowledge of multi-threading and performance optimization across multiple cores.
• Familiarity with safety-approved operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, ThreadX) is a plus.
• Some experience in software Verification and Validation activities (definition of test cases, etc.).
• Working knowledge of mathematics related to 3D geometry, matrix calculations, and vector algebra, with a focus on LIDAR point clouds preferred.
