About The Position

Assists in picking up and delivering various items between various internal and external hospital locations. Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility.
Candidates should be able to work any of the shifts listed below:
Monday-Friday 9:30AM-5:30PM
Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM
Monday-Friday 2PM-10PM
Monday-Friday 4PM-12AM
Monday-Friday 5PM-1AM

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Driver's License in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required

Responsibilities

• Assists in picking-up and delivering equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to various internal and external hospital locations
• Helps in escorting or transporting patients within facility
• Handles items in accordance with operating procedures
• Ensures timely delivery of items to appropriate locations; communicates delays in delivery / pickup time, as required
• Operates transport vehicles both on and off property
• Performs pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle
• Maintains vehicle mileage records
• Operates all vehicles in accordance with applicable laws; fuels vehicles as necessary
• Informs management of all vehicle activities and issues
