About The Position

The Business Development Executive at BGI Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is responsible for expanding the company's presence in the Northeast market by developing and acquiring new freight forwarding business across all modes and services. This role requires a motivated sales professional who thrives in a flexible, goal-driven environment and is capable of building and maintaining client relationships while coordinating with operations teams and global partners.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in Freight Forwarding Sales.
  • College degree preferred, or a high school diploma with proven sales experience.
  • Knowledge of greater Northeast regional markets.
  • Knowledge of Trans-Pacific, European, and Latin America trade lanes.
  • Experience in multimodal sales (Air, Ocean, Import, Export, LCL/FCL, Brokerage FTL/LTL).
  • Demonstrated business development and territory management skills.
  • Familiarity with computers and programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and acquire new freight forwarding business in the Northeast market.
  • Set appointments and qualify leads through warm and cold calls.
  • Prepare pricing proposals and conduct face-to-face client presentations.
  • Provide innovative solutions to secure new business.
  • Maintain client relationships through coordination with operations teams.
  • Utilize the CargoWise system for CRM and pipeline reporting.
  • Communicate internally on sales cycles.
