GENERAL SUMMARY Performs the essential task of school bus routing; and provides administrative support for the Transportation Department. Determine transportation eligibility for students. Answers telephones; and responds to questions from parents and school staff. Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Adhere to rules, regulations and guidelines set forth by the Springfield School Committee. Create and maintain school bus routes for all district schools. Assist the Transportation Director with the essential tasks of sequencing all bus routes. Contribute to the decisions made by the Transportation Director. Maintain accurate, complete and correct student records in Versatrans and Power School. Work in conjunction with all SPS staff in management of school bus routes. Work in conjunction with all SPS school transportation vendors. Work in conjunction with the Parent and Community Engagement Center staff to determine transportation eligibility for McKinney-Vento/Foster Care students. Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Other duties as assigned.
