Your Role: As a Transportation Roadway Design Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside our team of recognized industry experts. You'll contribute to real projects while building your technical skills and exploring the many aspects of roadway and transportation design.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (transportation focus is a plus)
- Strong interest in roadway and transportation design
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is helpful but not required
- Availability to travel periodically (up to 15%) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths, and traffic control systems
- Support development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, and traffic signal plans
- Help prepare calculations, estimates, and design reports
- Conduct site visits with senior engineers to support the design process
- Learn and apply roadway modeling tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
