Your Role: As a Design Engineer, you will be involved with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths and traffic control systems, and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering (transportation focus is a plus)
  • Entry Level position with up to 5 years of experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification with the intent to obtain Professional Engineer Certification, preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is favorable
  • Proficient with Microsoft software, to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more

Responsibilities

  • Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements
  • Development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal and maintenance of traffic plans
  • Roadway 3D Modeling
  • Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates
  • Conduct site visits to support the design process
  • Prepare alternative evaluation studies and similar reports
