Your Role: As a Design Engineer, you will be involved with the design of local roadways, highways, multi-use paths and traffic control systems, and will work with our team of recognized industry experts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering (transportation focus is a plus)
- Entry Level position with up to 5 years of experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification with the intent to obtain Professional Engineer Certification, preferred
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is favorable
- Proficient with Microsoft software, to include Microsoft Word and Excel
- This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
Responsibilities
- Design of highway, arterial and local roadway improvements
- Development of roadway, signing, pavement marking, traffic signal and maintenance of traffic plans
- Roadway 3D Modeling
- Prepare estimated quantity calculations and cost estimates
- Conduct site visits to support the design process
- Prepare alternative evaluation studies and similar reports
