This Work Matters! The Multnomah County Transportation Division is seeking an energetic and motivated full-time Transportation Project Specialist to join our Bridge Engineering team. This is a unique chance to work on complex capital improvement projects on Portland's iconic Willamette River bridges and contribute to a safe and efficient transportation system that supports economic and community vitality. As a Transportation Project Specialist, you will manage and lead the design and construction of capital projects of intermediate complexity on County roads and bridges. You will coordinate with project teams, review contract documents, implement state and federal regulations, and communicate with Division management to ensure on time and on budget completion. You will have strong project management skills and have the ability to work in a highly flexible and team-oriented environment. The Multnomah County Transportation Division manages and preserves the County transportation infrastructure and provides a safe and efficient transportation system that supports economic and community vitality. With 297 miles of roads, six large Willamette River bridges, over 20 smaller bridges, and over 1,750 culverts to manage, our staff is committed to maintaining the community’s livability.
