About The Position

We are seeking a Transportation Project Engineer to lead and execute complex projects such as municipal roadways, roundabouts, trails, heavy highway, safety studies, and green and complete street designs. This role involves working with ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients across Ohio. The Project Engineer will act as a liaison between production staff and Project Managers, and is ideal for candidates with multiple years of transportation engineering and design experience who are proficient in OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or Microstation.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years transportation engineering/design experience in roadway, roundabout, highway, trails, interchange, etc.
Proficiency in OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

EIT or PE License is a plus.
Prior experience managing transportation engineering projects is beneficial.
Will consider production-level candidates who are highly skilled and ready to help manage projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed research, analyze data, and prepare plans to support innovative design solutions.
Perform field reviews to identify opportunities and constraints.
Collaborate with staff to create CAD-generated designs and compelling visual exhibits.
Provide cost estimates, documentation, and quality checks for project accuracy.
Contribute to projects that enhance communities while ensuring safety and sustainability.
Adhere to all quality and safety standards.
Make recommendations and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Build professional connections through client meetings and networking.
Perform other duties as assigned.
