About the position
We are ONE Guernsey, and everything we do is to improve the lives of people around us. Guernsey is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Oklahoma City, OK to continue the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the design and creation of construction documents on a wide variety of transportation projects.
- Different roadway design components include typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, safety features and maintenance of traffic plans.
- Producing a set of construction documents including drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Training new engineers.
- Managing task assignments for other engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oklahoma
- 5 or more years of related experience
- Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D or OpenRoads design software
- Working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) and the Oklahoma DOT Roadway Design Manual.
- Strong communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience and familiarity with ODOT including design and plan preferences.
