About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking to add talented consultants to our growing public sector transportation team. These professionals will serve our federal clients with mission-specific projects that allow for challenging project assignments, direct client experiences, and career progression. Consultants support project workstreams and interact with the client daily to enable engagement success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-2+ years of experience in public-sector consulting or transit safety/oversight
  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
  • Proficiency with Excel, databases, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
  • Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply
  • This hybrid position role may require up to 3-5 days on-site at the Client's office
  • This position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 of the DC Area

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing internal or external management consulting services to federal agencies, departments, or bureaus
  • Previous experience working in or supporting transportation-related program managers, business managers, strategic planners, program analysts, budget officers, financial analysts, and change management functions
  • Experience with risk management and cost benefit analysis, to include data modeling and predictive analytics

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with federal clients and Guidehouse colleagues to solve problems and improve outcomes
  • Support client programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business plan goals
  • Engage project stakeholders to identify and implement organizational, program, and business process improvements using change management practices
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client consideration
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff
