About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Transportation Practice Leader in our Orlando, FL office. As a Transportation Practice Leader, enjoy responsibilities that may include project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process. The ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplined team is essential. This role also involves project engineering and management, good communication skills, and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members. Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management are also key components of this position. Professional society involvement is encouraged.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of practical design experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design
  • Knowledge of FDOT design and standards
  • PE license in FL
  • Experience in business development and project development processes, including marketing activities, client development, project tracking and proposal development
  • Project Management experience with the Florida Department of Transportation is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Staff management and proven leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with MicroStation, Open Roads Design (ORD), AutoCAD and Civil3D software is a significant advantage
