About The Position
The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Director of Transit Planning for immediate employment in our District of Columbia-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) region. The focus is executing and managing programs and projects, and expanding our overall transit planning practice in the areas of transit and rail planning, service planning, stations, multimodal corridor studies, data analysis, and transit feasibility. Our Transit team is a truly multi-discipline practice focused on providing collaborative and integrated solutions to foster improved community benefit. The ideal candidate will have a proven career in the transit industry, showcasing a strong history of client service and understanding, high-quality project delivery, agency/jurisdictional collaboration, and successful business development. The position is a hybrid position based in Arlington, Virginia, reporting to the Transit Market Sector in the DMV region, and work in an organization with local transportation and operations staff, and regional and national transit and transportation expertise to execute projects and position AECOM for new work with transit clients in the region. Those primary clients include, but are not limited to WMATA, MTA, VRE, SEPTA, DRPT, FTA, and local transit agencies.
