About The Position

AECOM is growing with major project work throughout Louisiana and the Western U.S. AECOM's Louisiana Transit / Traffic Transportation Engineering Team is looking to enhance its staff with a Transportation Planning Manager with responsibilities inclusive of the following: Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning methods and products. Complete project tasks using High proficiency Synchro, Sidra, HCS, PTV Suite of products, as well as GIS project software and related project deliveries, including roundabout studies using Sidra. Will provide project oversight of interchange justification/modification reports, traffic analysis and modeling for highway projects Will oversee delivery of NEPA Traffic analyses for highway projects along with other NEPA related task deliveries. Leads environmental studies, such as impacts to neighborhoods and environmental resources; develops permit and NEPA documentation. Provides overall management of engagement related to planning tasks. Partners with other business lines to assist with siting and environmental studies. Advise and present to various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues. Produce high-quality reports, maps, figures and presentations. Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities. Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.

Requirements

BA/BS Degree + eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
PE and / or AICP or PTOE certification

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and / or Urban and Regional Planning highly preferred.
Experience with NEPA Traffic analyses for highway projects along with proven experience in NEPA related task deliveries.
High proficiency Synchro, Sidra, HCS, PTV Suite of products, as well as GIS project software and related project deliveries, including roundabout studies using Sidra.
Current / recent completion of Bike and pedestrian studies and design projects.
Familiarity with federal and LA DOTD requirements.
Current / recent project experience and deliveries of Traffic Impact Studies, Operational simulation analysis, Traffic Signal Design and timing plans.
Task and project management experience involving interchange justification/modification reports, traffic analysis and modeling for highway projects
