This opportunity entails being under close supervision, assist departments by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Science, Planning, Technology. This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis. Our New York office seeks a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2026. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred degree program in environmental studies, urban/regional planning, traffic engineering, or related field.
• Familiar with ArcGIS and Adobe Suites.
• Understanding of the 4-step model for transportation planning.
• Exposure to demand modeling, traffic simulation or transit planning software.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assists project team members with various support tasks.
• Conducts basic research and data collection.
• Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
• Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
• Performs other duties assigned.
