About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transportation Planning Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office for Summer 2026. The ideal candidate will support the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive transportation systems. Assist with preparing reports, traffic forecasts, and technical documents to support transportation studies and guide project decision-making. Coordinates graphic exhibit preparation and/or other portions of a planning project. Engage in traffic data collection, crash analysis, and intersection capacity analysis using various software. Requirements

  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree, a planning degree, or equivalent from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2026).
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
