About The Position
Under the general direction of the Active Transportation Coordinator, Senior Transportation Planner, the incumbent will assist District 7 in implementing an Active Transportation Portfolio established as a result of the Federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), and any additional programs established by the State Legislature on active transportation. The incumbent leads the District 7 coordination with HQ DOTP Active Transportation & Complete Streets (AT&CS) and Strategic Investment Planning on active transportation project nominations for non-SHOPP and SHOPP funding programs; leads District and Headquarters Active Transportation & Complete Streets development of a pipeline of active transportation projects and moving those projects through project delivery phases to construction; coordinates with internal and external partners to identify active transportation needs and project concepts; develops applications for state and federal competitive funding applications.
