About The Position

Darigold is seeking a Transportation Planner to enhance the transportation execution process by collaborating with Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation teams. This role involves managing logistics operations, optimizing load building, and ensuring effective shipment tracking and monitoring.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years of experience in logistics/manufacturing, procurement, or supply chain is preferred.
• Strong proven business acumen.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Proactively identify and act on problems before issues occur.
• Apply critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Possess a guest service mentality with a genuine desire to serve the customer.
• Energetic, innovative, and flexible.
• Maintain a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Identify additional tasks to be completed and willingly assist others.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and other work-related software.
• Experience with TMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation departments to facilitate the transportation execution process.
• Tender loads to specific carriers within Transportation Management Software (TMS).
• Build loads in TMS.
• Assist with dock scheduling.
• Order consolidation and mode optimization.
• Monitor shipment exceptions.
• Track and trace shipments.
• Provide after hours, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
