About The Position

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Transportation Planner / Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Bonifay, Florida . This role will support planning and engineering initiatives for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other regional transportation agencies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in transportation planning, with a proven track record of delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to complex mobility challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor Of Science in accounting or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in transportation planning and contract administration.
Experience working with Local Counties and Cities.
Knowledge of Local Agency Programs (LAP), Federal Grant Programs such as Transportation Alternatives (TA), and State Grant Programs (SCOP, SCRAP, CIGP, MSCOP, BSCOP, TRIP, SUN Trail)
Knowledge of FDOT Work Program coding and development
In-depth knowledge of FDOT LAP and planning processes, manuals, and tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage transportation documentation tasks in collaboration with FDOT and local agencies.
Prepare technical reports, planning documents, and presentations for stakeholders and public meetings.
Support project teams from initial start-up through completion
Work on a variety of tasks and function as an integral part of multiple project management teams
Coordinate with engineers, planners, GIS specialists, and environmental scientists to integrate planning reports and documents.
Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, federal and state regulations, and local planning policies.
