About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Lehi, Utah (UT) office is seeking an Aviation Planner with 4+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position. You will have the opportunity to assist with the development of airport master plans, statewide system plans, on-call aviation planning services, and support and collaborate with multiple project managers and team members in general planning tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience in a related field
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in a relevant field
• Strong writing/verbal skills
• Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Working knowledge of GIS/ArcView
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Nice To Haves

• PE or AICP Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the production and delivery of multi-modal transportation systems planning, including data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
• Support all steps of a transportation planning project, including:
• Initial data gathering and needs identification
• Goal setting and visioning
• Development of recommended strategies and design concepts
• Prioritization and cost estimating
• Development of technical and public-facing documentation and presentations
