Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator to provide transportation for patients to and from the facility for pre-scheduled appointments and help organize and direct patient's daily activities.

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: One (1) year of transportation services experiences preferred. Priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients.
• Licensure: Must maintain a valid as required for transportation of patients.
• Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility
• Report all van maintenance problems to the Department Director
• Assist with the patient's day to day needs and activities
• Communicate and consult with the Department Director and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information daily
• Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times
• Demonstrate responsibility and sound judgment regarding patient safety
