About The Position

Responsible for oversight of all Transportation functions and manages Tractor-Trailer Operations (raw material & finished goods). This position involves planning, distributing, monitoring, and following up on daily work assignments and all necessary resources to ensure customers are serviced per Company standards. The role requires close collaboration with Field Service Representatives to maintain and grow the customer base while addressing and resolving any service-related issues. Additionally, the position includes managing local Transportation operations, ensuring safety and compliance, and overall responsibility for accident investigations and reporting. The candidate will also maintain and monitor reports and data entry related areas to ensure performance meets established Company goals, while keeping management advised of performance issues and recommending solutions. Communication with both internal employees and external customers is essential.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Transportation and Logistics.

• Working knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations.

• Knowledge of SAP, Sapphire, Scale Administration, and other transportation-related technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of on-board recording devices, GPS communication, and routing optimization systems.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet customer needs and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows-up daily work assignments and all necessary resources to ensure customers are serviced per Company standards.
• Works closely with Field Service Representatives in both maintaining/growing customer base and addressing/resolving any service-related issues.
• Coordinates equipment repairs with shop to ensure maximum utilization.
• Manages local Transportation operating procedures.
• Ensures safety and compliance in all operations.
• Responsible for all accident investigations, reporting, follow-up, and discipline in accordance with Company policy.
• Develops and maintains a common safety culture by identifying and controlling workplace hazards.
• Maintains and monitors reports and data entry to ensure performance meets established Company goals.
• Keeps management advised of performance, issues, and recommends solutions.
• Communicates both internally with employees and externally with customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
