About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage outbound transportation processes, carrier relationships, oversee delivery management, and ensure vendor compliance. The role involves coordinating various logistics activities, partnering with fulfillment center associates, communicating with external third-party logistics providers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support business needs for the outbound parcel transportation network. This is a high visibility and dynamic role that enables transportation strategies for the Walmart and Sam’s Club fulfillment networks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field and 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field OR 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
The standard commitment of 12 months is required for a new launch where the 12-month commitment begins after the first outbound ship/go live date.
Operational Fulfillment Centers require a 12-month commitment from 1st official day in role.
Experience in managing carrier relationships and order execution.
Strong analytical skills for data review and trend analysis.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of compliance and company policies.

Responsibilities

Coordination and Oversight: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
Identify and communicate goals and objectives.

Identify and address improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning.
Flexibility to adapt schedule to meet business needs, inclusive of nights and weekends.
Carrier Management & Capacity Planning: Manage local relationships and order execution with carriers.
Review carrier metrics and KPIs to ensure on-time delivery and performance goals are met.
Communicate insights and opportunities to Management.
Ensure orders are processed, loaded, shipped, and routed correctly to meet customer expectations.
Analyze trailer utilization and conduct load/route planning to reduce freight costs.
Delivery Management and Analysis: Develop insights and report on delivery and service metrics across a region.
Ensure compliance with company policies, supporting the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Vendor Compliance and Performance: Develop and implement policy and procedure changes.
Review and analyze vendor scorecards to identify areas for improvement.
Support vendor improvement programs.
Process Improvement and Collaboration: Perform trend analyses and develop insights to identify operational issues or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain and Fulfillment Center Management.
Assist in the development and continuous iteration of standard work.
Collaborate with root case analysis for service and/or transportation related defects.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
