About The Position
Norfolk Southern is seeking motivated individuals to join our Rail Transportation Management Trainee program. This structured program provides the foundational training and leadership development necessary to prepare for a career in rail operations management. Trainees will gain hands-on experience overseeing train operations, managing conductors and locomotive engineers, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight across our 22-state network. The Rail Transportation Management Trainee program is designed to provide comprehensive training in railroad operations, leadership, and safety. This training program lasts approximately one year, with the first six months spent traveling across our network to gain hands-on experience in different territories.
