About The Position

South Florida Youth Academy is a moderate risk residential commitment program for male youth aged 14 to 18. This program provides youth with comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based substance abuse services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling, while in the program. A youth’s length of stay is determined by the youth's assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan. The Transportation Officer works as a member of the Student Services Team. Primarily responsible for transporting students to and from the site for off-site appointments. Depending on location, the Transportation Officer reports to the Transportation Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, or Executive Administrative Assistant.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year working with youth in a child welfare or agency setting
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean record
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
  • Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

  • Primarily responsible for transporting students to and from the site for off-site appointments.
