About The Position
The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring customer base is provided prompt & efficient service by our team of drivers. This role includes supervision of the Fleet Manager and Route Supervisor in relation to daily operations of the fleet, transportation of raw materials, scheduling of outgoing finished products, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. The Transportation Manager is also involved in hiring, training, and safety orientation of new drivers, monitoring DOT logs and driver timecards, and maintaining current accounts while enlisting new accounts in the designated area.
