The Transportation Manager serves as principal advisor to the Project Manager in matters related to monitoring, controlling, and coordinating movement of personnel, equipment, and cargo by air, rail, highway, and water. This role leads a team of approximately 90 teammates to safely and compliantly accomplish the Army’s mission via transportation motor pool and dispatching, material movement shipments, rail and yard operations, terminal warehouse operations Freight Services of the division and ensures compliance with applicable regulations. The Transportation Manager determines the most efficient mode of transport that accomplishes AFO's mission requirements at Ft. Sill, as well as creating superior client experience.
