Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in route-based processes; to include: prior route delivery driving and supervision of route drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of the Fleet Manager and Route Supervisor in relation to daily operations of the fleet.
  • Responsible for transportation of raw materials; schedules all outgoing finished product and the transportation of such.
  • Responsible for all routes and routing process; makes changes as necessary to ensure route efficiency; schedules all drivers ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Sets schedules and start times for raw materials transfer drivers to ensure a constant flow of material to the plant.
  • Involved in hiring, training, and safety orientation of new drivers.
  • Monitors DOT logs and driver timecards to guarantee drivers operate within regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining current accounts and enlisting new accounts in designated area.
  • Provides prompt, efficient, quality service to all customers in area.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
