Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required
• 3-5 years experience in related field, required
• Working knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, required
• Experience with the transportation management function, required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with account management with a logistics organization, preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage a fleet of 20 dedicated drivers and small office staff, along with partner carriers.
• Manage and maintain Power, Non-Power, and Ancillary equipment.
• Oversee operational tasks such as routing, driver scheduling, equipment maintenance, tracking shipments, and customer service.
• Handle administrative tasks including payroll, billing, and processing BOLs/PODs.
• Ensure driver and equipment compliance.
• Direct transportation associates to achieve internal and external objectives, and develop a productive staff through hiring, training, and professional development.
• Apply communication and motivational techniques to supervise, counsel, and discipline subordinates.
• Report and communicate tactical and strategic metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist drivers and troubleshoot issues as they arise during and after hours.
• Build and maintain a team-focused, positive environment within the driver fleet and office.
• Establish and maintain great relationships with customer locations.
