About The Position

The Transportation Management Lead will oversee Transportation Management Specialist(s) and provide direct management and analytical support for transportation distribution. This includes handling HAZMAT, carrier selection/management, and tracking analysis to support daily operations. The role involves assisting with customs clearance and ensuring door-to-door transportation of assets, offering a comprehensive range of distribution and transportation support for DoD programs. The contractor must be capable of learning all DoD transportation systems to meet the ECMM transportation mission needs, which include cross docks, Loaner Repair Return Center, Low Unit of Measure (LUM), HSMR/IMAHR, Theater Lead Agent for Medical Materiel, and AF Reachback.

Requirements

• 12 years of DoD or ECMM related field experience in transportation management and consulting support.
• Experience utilizing Cargo Movement Operating System.
• Ability to address all forms of Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) shipping systems.
• Experience with invoice/billing interface systems for payment of shipped items.
• Capability to learn additional transportation systems as required.
