Requirements

  • Requires an Associates Degree in a maintenance or related field and two to four years experience or equivalent experience in a maintenance related field
  • Clean and valid Class A CDL with T and N endorsements, bulk haulers license, and D.O.T. medical card
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
  • Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
  • Ability to read and write instructions in English
  • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Must be qualified to perform GTAW (Tig), GMAW(Mig), and SMAW (Stick) welding procedures in both carbon steel and stainless steel applications.
  • Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and welding accessories.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications.
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment, hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
  • Perform welding (Tig) for new installations of process piping systems using pre-engineered drawings. Welding must meet the sanitary 3A standards and AWS D18 standards for the welding of Sanitary (Hygienic) applications.
  • Perform welding (Tig/Mig/Stick) for new installations of process piping systems as directed.
  • Perform welding (Tig, Mig, Stick) for structural components on Milk tankers and Trailer Framework systems.
  • Produce sanitary type welds, grind and polish as required.
  • Dismantle and repair existing equipment.
  • Trouble shoots and repairs transportation equipment and facilities.
  • Performs general and preventative maintenance to assure minimal downtime.
  • Maintains proper records, files, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant equipment.
  • Maintains all maintenance logs on assigned shift.
  • Ensures that department is clean and orderly at end of shift.
  • Sees that company tools and equipment are maintained properly.
  • Promotes and exhibits strong safety practices.
  • Ensures timely and proper completion of work orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
