About The Position

The Transportation Lead at Colton RV & Marine is responsible for overseeing all transportation-related activities, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of units across the company's transportation network. This role involves managing a team of transporters, coordinating logistics with third-party providers, and maintaining fleet compliance and safety standards. Requirements

• Previous driving/towing experience is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Experience with DOT compliance, fleet management, and safety regulations is highly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• RV experience and knowledge are a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with transportation management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all unit movements across company locations and off-site events.
• Manage scheduling for OSD (Over, Short, or Damaged) units.
• Coordinate transportation logistics with third-party transportation providers.
• Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the company's fleet.
• Monitor and track fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and repair costs.
• Ensure all OTR (Over-the-Road) drivers comply with DOT regulations.
• Conduct safety training and maintain safety standards across the transportation team.
• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
• Mentor and lead a team of transporters, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all transportation inquiries and issues.
