About The Position

Under the direction of Supervisor, Transportation, the Lead Transportation is responsible for assisting department leadership with the execution of department operations including ensuring the essential functions of the department are maintained, communicating service issues, safety concerns, training department staff through coaching, mentoring, and leading. Delivering exceptional quality service in alignment with brand standards/expectations for all guests– requiring a high level of professionalism, anticipatory service, and enthusiasm focusing on guest comfort. In this highly visible role, it is imperative that they contribute to the mission and vision by creating a positive and productive working environment. They maintain a positive attitude and public image while delivering authentic greetings, cordial farewells, centered on a sense of personal service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two (2) years driving experience required.
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission required.
  • Must have demonstrated ability exercising utmost discretion with confidential information including but not limited to internal/external guest personal information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point essential.
  • Effective communication, both verbal and written, is crucial for conveying information, providing feedback, and fostering collaboration.
  • The ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks is essential for meeting deadlines and achieving goals.

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Must obtain and/or maintain a valid California Commercial Driver’s License, Class A, B, or C with a passenger endorsement.
  • Must maintain a valid California Medical Certificate.
  • Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year casino, hotel management or training experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service and cash handling skills preferred.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Executes established policies and procedures to facilitate the successful daily operation of the Transportation Department while maintaining regulatory compliance to meet defined standards and expectations.
  • Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning, and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, and implementing new procedures.
  • Monitors team members for quality service standards and expectations, service delivery standards, level of professionalism, personal appearance and adherence to proper procedures standardized by department guidelines.
  • Maintains department safety standards, expectations, and immediately address unsafe practices and situations to leadership.
  • Conducts all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism by providing an enthusiastic and authentic time-based greeting, displaying professional non-verbal communication, showing genuine interest, using the guest’s name naturally, anticipating guest needs with a thoughtful touch, and conveying a sincere thank you and farewell.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
