Transportation Intern Maintenance Worker - Temporary
About The Position
The Agency of Transportation is seeking an Intern Maintenance Worker for a position in the District 8 Enosburg garage. This is a unique opportunity to learn and receive training in the field of highway equipment maintenance. Duties include but are not limited to repair/maintenance of trucks and equipment, assisting with snow and ice control, guardrail installation, patching potholes, and cleaning the roadside. The position is open to students between the ages of 16 to 18 years old that are actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent. The work schedules offer flexibility, with the ideal candidate being able to work full shifts on school breaks and/or as their school schedule allows.
Requirements
- Must be under 18 years old
- An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation.
Nice To Haves
- A current, valid driver's license is preferred.
