The Agency of Transportation is seeking an Intern Maintenance Worker. This is a unique opportunity to learn and receive training in the field of highway equipment maintenance. Duties include but are not limited to: repair/maintenance of trucks and equipment, assisting with snow and ice control, guardrail installation, patching potholes, and cleaning the roadside. These positions are open to students between the ages of 16 to 18 years old that are actively pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent. The work schedules offer flexibility, with the ideal candidate being able to work full shifts on school breaks and/or as their school schedule allows.This position, Transportation Intern Maintenance Worker - Temporary (Job Requisition #54035), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.
